At the Advanced Body Sculpting Institute/SmartLipo of New England, we are offering 2 new post-operative treatments to help you get that shape you desire faster: lipomassage and celluderm.

These 2 procedures are performed 2 to 3 weeks after your SmartLipo/Power-assisted liposuction procedure to help mobilize extra cellular fluid and fat as well as detoxify your body and boost your immune system. This results in speeding up the healing process, reducing postoperative swelling, getting smoother results and tighter skin. These procedures also treat any areas in which cellulite is a problem.

Lipo Massage and Celluderm treatments act by progressively wearing down the cellulite with a combination of heat and vacuum suction. Heat renders the cell membrane around the fat cell more permeable, allowing stored fat to be released more readily. When suction is applied, fat molecules are then pulled across the cell membrane and released into the surrounding lymph fluid. This reduces the size of the fat cells and smoothes out the appearance of buckled and warped fat under the skin the cottage cheese effect. It also increases the lymph flow and releases toxins from the fat cells into the lymphatic system.

Lipo Massage and Celluderm technology can only be successful when combined with a calorie-reduced diet. It is essential to be fat-free for 24 hours following the treatment so that the liver can process and metabolize the fat molecules rather than the most recent fat ingested.

Lipo Massage and Celluderm treatments are performed by a certified technician. Each treatment lasts approximately 45 to 60 minutes and is performed on a weekly basis.
